I began doing voicework fulltime in 1984 when I was picked to voice the theatrical campaign for "Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom" the movie that inspired the creation of the PG-13 rating.
For almost a decade before that I was one of the editors of the industry trade publication "Radio & Records." During that time I was also writing, producing, and voicing concert spots for touring music acts such as Styx and The Doobie Brothers.

You may have also heard my voice on weekend radio during the early '80s. I hosted the nationally syndicated shows "Countdown America" and, then later, "Countdown U.S.A." Plus, there were radio specials like "Elvis: The Legend of a King" and "The Top 100 of The '70s."

I moved to Los Angeles in 1975 to join the airstaff of the legendary Top 40 station 93/KHJ. Charlie Van Dyke, Mark Elliott, Bobby Ocean, M.G. Kelly, Dave Sebastian Williams and Beau Weaver were all part of the team that delivered KHJ's final #1 ratings book in 1976. FM was just beginning.

Before Los Angeles, I lived and worked in Atlanta. From 1972-75 it was the South's most renowned Top 40 station WQXI - "Quixie In Dixie." In those days the staff included Gary McKee, Barry Chase, Lee Logan, Thom Rivers and Program Director Bill Sherard.

In the advertising community I might be forever linked to the infamous "Five Men And A Limo" short film presented at the 1997 Key Art Awards. Specially produced for the movie trailer industry's annual kudos, the film featured the five top trailer voices - Don LaFontaine, Nick Tate, Mark Elliott, Al Chalk, and me - spoofing our own "styles" in rare on-camera performances. It played to a packed house and has since gone on to cult status with video bootleg copies moving throughout the industry even today.

I've been amazingly fortunate...staying very busy, working for a wide array of clients, networks, and programs in the last fifteen-plus years.

If you'd like to know more (although I can't imagine why...) please drop me an e-mail, and I will do my best to get back to you.

And, thanks for visiting.
